Total Nuggets Layer Styles

In creating Total Training for Adobe Photoshop Elements 2, I designed a series of productivity-enhancing actions and layer styles known collectively as Total Nuggets. The actions require an installation script and are therefore available exclusively with the video series. The layer styles are easier to install, so I include them here for free.

Installation Instructions
First, a few warnings: The products you are about to download, Total Glass & Total Surfaces, are freeware, Copyright 2002 Type & Graphics, Inc. They are provided “as is,” with no implication of support, warranty, or other provision. Download them at your own risk and use them under your own direction according to the following bare-bone instructions.

Step 1: Make sure that you have Adobe Photoshop Elements 2 or Adobe Photoshop 7 installed on your computer. If you don’t, these layer styles WILL NOT WORK.

Step 2: Download TOTALglass.asl or TOTALsurfaces.asl by clicking one or both of these links.

Step 3: Locate the file or files that you just downloaded on your hard drive. (Use your system’s Find function if you need to.)

Step 4: Double-click the TOTALglass.asl or TOTALsurfaces.asl file to automatically launch Elements (or Photoshop) and load the styles into the Layer Styles (or Styles) palette. The styles appear as colored squares with names like Yellow Glass, Green Matte, and Violet Shiny.

Step 5: To test a style, draw a shape layer and then click one of the colored squares in the Layer Styles (or Styles) palette.

Having trouble using Photoshop Elements? Remember, we have two very reasonably priced video training series just dying to help you out. See Total Training Presents: Adobe Photoshop Elements 3 Unleashed for more information.
